Parents Association

"Being a member of the Parent Association is a great way to get involved with your kids, other parents and the school"

The Parent Association plays a major role at our school. It not only benefits our students but enriches the whole school and community through fun, positive interaction and support.
We welcome all parents to become involved in the Parent Association whether it’s once or twice a year or on a regular basis. You gain huge benefits by interacting with the school and other parents. You gain a first-hand understanding of how our school operates and the
rhythm of school life. Parent Association provides strong support to the school in a number of ways, these include:

  • - establishing valuable links between teachers and parents
  • - organising information and welcome events for new students and parents at the school
  • - helping with other school events and functions
  • - helping to cater, or work at fundraising activities such as raffles or sausage sizzles
  • - promoting Parent Association related events through the school newsletters.
  • - fundraising

Next Meeting (all parents welcome) Meetings are held every second Monday evening of the month at 7.30pm in the School Library, come along! Parent Association meetings provide a valuable form of sharing information. At our meetings we discuss initiatives to help improve our school. We encourage your participation and feedback –it ensures we move forward as a team!

Some Fundraisers initiatives include:
Bunnings BBQ sausage sizzle
Easter Raffle and family night

Working Bees – School Working Bees take place a 2 -3 times a year. As we only have a few working bees each year we always receive strong attendance. “Many hands make light work” is true of these events as we achieve a great deal on these days. Constructing new garden areas, refreshing/replenishing the soft fall chips, replacing old edging timbers with new sleepers and general tidy ups are usually the main tasks at our working bees.

Volunteering – We warmly welcome volunteers across our school. Many parents remain at school at the start of the day to listen to reading with our junior classes. Our cooking program is also well supported by our team of volunteers. Volunteers are always valued for their assistance with fundraising / social events such as the Car Rally, Easter family night, raffles, sausage sizzle etc.
